I cannot return my mac from windows. it only shows the option for windows if i force a restart. If i try from windows bootcamp it sat the macos cannot be found

I added a partition to use windows on my macbook pro. Now I cant return to my mac, I've tried the usual recommended hold command button on restart but the only drive option is for windows. when i try via windows boot camp it says the macos boot cannot be found. All i want is my mac and not bothered about windows

what do you get with ONLY Option key?

That will get you the built-in Mac Boot picker, which will add an icon to that screen for every potentially bootable Volume it finds, after about five minutes, the wait cursor becomes a standard cursor.

If there is a Mac Volume showing, you can choose it and tell it to g.

If not, you will need to erase the ENTIRE physical Volume (selected by its immutable manufacturer-given device-name) and install MacOS from scratch.

It sounds as if your computer is unable to see its operating system. Something has happened to it or you have erased it. When you installed Windows, did you use Boot Camp to do so and carefully follow the instructions? I suggest you first try reinstalling the Mac operating system by restarting i the Internet Recovery Mode. Hold down the Shift + Option + Command + R keys on restart to reinstall the OS that is the closest to yours. The download will take some time. I would not use Wi-Fi as it is often too slow and can corrupt the file. Instead, use a wired Ethernet connection.

You can try A SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support in an effort to sort anomalies

I believe Internet Recovery requires a WiFi connection. Mac's today do not include Ethernet connection.

If you ran ANY Windows-native utilities that even examine disk partition information, you have made a serious error.

When Windows touches the partition map, it fixes it the way Windows likes it. This obliterates all trace of the MacOS partition, which must be re-created from scratch. You Macintosh data are unreachable.

Windows is not a pleasant Guest.
