Trust Asset Version

I reset my IPad today to factory settings. Why then I have trust asset version 1000?! iOS 16.6. I used that with iPhone 13Pro and it has also same problem now. What is this?

@Phil0124 Everyone is talking about the 1000 but I have the 1002 on my up to date iPhone 15 pro max and 1000 on my iPhone 15 plus also up to date and I just got a new iPhone 15 plus and this one is 1003 ..

on my iPhone 15 work phone I have 1002 and at the bottom there’s other trust for root certificates with my company portal certificates but different Apple ID

my question I guess is what is the trust asset version.

And why is it different on my 3 personal phone using same Apple ID one is 1000, 1002 and other is 1003 and iPad is 1000. ( I used to work for Apple tech support and never seen this before but this was 4 years ago )

I don’t understand why not 21 and why some people have version 20, but I have 1000. When I updated iOS, it was also 20. It turned 1000 only when I reset iPad and iPhone to factory settings.

Apple controls the Trust asset versions. There's nothing you can do about the version you have. Yes, some devices may have version 20, others, like yours and mine have 1000. There's nothing specifically wrong with that.

For understanding, have you also trust asset version 1000? And ios 16.6, not jailbreak etc. It’s just strange situation for me, therefore I ask.

Yes, I have version 1000 on my iPhone 11 Pro, and my 12" iPad Pro.

I have seen version 20 on a 9.7" iPad Pro.

Current version - as of iPadOS 16.6:

Version numbering does not necessarily follow a linear count.

The Trust Version is actually a date - expressed to the LDAP standard for representing dates, this being very similar to the international ISO 8601 standard…

2023022800 decodes to YYYYMMDD - and then a sequence/time identifier:

  • 2023 (this year)
  • 02 (February)
  • 28 (28th day)
  • 00 (sequence number)

The Trust Asset Version is an arbitrary internal version number.
