Can’t pair apple watch

While I was transferring from my iPhone 11 to a new iPhone 14, I had trouble with my Apple ID.  I tried to reset the password too many times.  It kept failing when I attempted a new password.  I then chose to reset my Apple ID.  They sent the initial email saying they would text or call at a certain time to let me know when I could reset it.  I never got a call or text.  I tried apple support.  They said to try the reset again.  I tried again and it did the exact same thing again.  I gave up and just used a different I’d to setup my new phone.  While I was setting up my new phone, the old phone stayed connected to the old id.  The old phone updated its os automatically and has now lost the connection to the old if and I cannot unpair from the old phone in order to pair with the new phone.  All of the articles that I have read say that it will not let me remove the activation lock without the old id and password.  How can I pair my watch with my new phone!!!???
