I recently decided to use my gmail address in Apple Mail but it is not working satisfactorily. Some recipients don't receive messages at all and it goes into the Quarantine folders of others. According to Connection Doctor it is gmail is properly connected and the Mail Settings Lookup on the Mail Support page verifies my gmail address. I am running macOS 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a).

When I linked by Gmail account to Mail I first had to go into google Account and allow the connection to Gmail server (Google it) and register in it your Mac Mail after you allow it and it connects!
