If there is a virus on my iPhone and I backup to the cloud , will this virus download onto a new iPhone?

iPhones are not really prone to viruses, so the chances of you having a virus are low due to iOS built in security. But if you want to feel safe, you could start anew on your new iPhone, but I don't see any risks of making a backup, as of iPhones are safe and not prone to viruses
