Hi - when I add a photo from my library to a shared folder, it reduces the file size (ie from 5.6mb to 700kb), is there anyway of keeping the original file size so the other people who have access to the shared folder can view/edit the original? I can get round it by sending the pictures via WeTransfer or another file sharing service, but just wondered if there is another way? Thanks in anticipation.

Do you mean a Shared Album by "Shared folder"? Sorry, I misunderstood your question and thought you have been referring to shared folders on iCloud Drive.
Shared Albums do not allow to share the items in the origiginal resolution. When we drag a photo to a shared album, it will be scaled down for sharing and many metadata, like the titles, will be removed. Hi thanks for replying - the problem is that when I select the photo from my library, I can easily export it in full size format to another location (desktop, pictures etc) but I can't export it within photos, ie the option to export to a shared folder is not available.. I think the only way to add a photo from the library to a shared folder is drag and drop within photos, as far as I can see :(
