Screen sharing Mac Mini M2 over ethernet? openthread issue?
i just set up my Mac Mini (13.4.1) and verified that I could control it via my MacBook Air (13.4.1) so I can run it headless but still work on it. That worked fine while both devices were on wifi. I shut down the mini, moved it to its new location (away from a monitor), connected it to the router via an ethernet cable, rebooted it and attempted to fire up Screen Sharing. Instead of seeing the Mini in my network locations, I see openthread.thread.home.arpa with no option to share a screen.
I see that the openthread is related to HomeKit. Do I have to disconnect the ethernet to use screen sharing? the Mini is going to be used as a Channels DVR server, among other things, so the ethernet connection is desired for internet speed.
