Apple ID verification pops up 4 times after entering passcode

Every time I unlock my iPad, after using a passcode, the OS prompts me to enter my password. I press the “Not now” option and it pops up again. This repeats a total of 4 times before it finally stops. It is infuriating! What is the point of having the passcode if it’s going to ask me for my password each time I unlock it anyway?!

Is there any way to stop this from happening? I am to the point where I am ready to throw the thing away and buy an Android tablet.

If the iPad is asking to put in the password for your Apple ID, you will have to do that, in order to verify your Apple ID account on this device.

Entering the passcode for the Lock Screen will not verify your Apple ID account, that is used for Apple content, apps and Apple Services on your iPad.

So, if I’m understanding correctly, iOS is just going to ask me for a password, 4 times, EVERY time I unlock the iPad? So there’s absolutely no point in having a Lock Screen, because it’s just going to ask me for a password regardless.

I guess it’s time to get rid of the iPad and get an Android device.
