What is error code 2100F?

Intel-based Mac can't start up from its built-in Recovery system. So, I tried to start up from macOS Recovery over the internet with pressing Option-Command-R. But I saw a globe with a warning symbol (exclamation point) with error code 2100F. What does 2100F mean?

I am getting the -2002F code so If you hook up to the Router via ethernet cable do you still have to put a password in?

Your Mac is having trouble establishing an internet connection, which is required to reinstall from recovery.

You might try moving much closer to the WiFi access point, or connect via ethernet cable. You can also try going to an Apple store where there is free, strong WiFi.

WiFi passwords are stored in firmware or NVRAM in some Macs, there may be some other serious malfunction if yours is having trouble connecting. You could also try removing the password for your guest network (temporarily only) to see if your Mac can cannot through that. Restore the password as soon as possible afterwards.

" What are WiFi passwords "

This is the password used to grant you permission to connect to the Wireless Router.

Many Wireless Router ( No ALL ) usually have the Password on a Sticker pasted on the back of the Router

The Password on the sticker is the password used when the router was New.

If the router has been kept without making any wifi Password Changes.

You can look on the back of the Router and Manually Input that password to establish an Internet Connection

Thank you for your comments. I have an another question. What are WiFi passwords? If NVRAM is reset, are past WiFi passwords removed?

WiFi passwords are needed to connect to routers or WiFi hot spots if they are password protected. Depending on the Mac model, WiFi passwords can be stored in NVRAM. In that case, resetting NVRAM would remove all WiFi passwords. This can be seen when sometimes the internal drive is replaced with a new one, yet the Mac "remembers" how to connect to password protected WiFi routers. That is because the NVRAM was not reset.

In your case, assuming the -2100F error indicates not connecting to the internet, your internet connection is not working, which could be due to not having the WiFi password available, or something else that is interfering with you getting a reliable internet connection. This could be due to settings on your router, for instance.
