Is it worth buying an iPad if you already have an iPhone Pro Max & the newest Apple TV 4K (3rd Generation)?

Hi! I'm planning on getting myself an iPhone 15 Pro Max later on this year, as I'm coming from a Samsung Galaxy S8 in which I've been holding onto for the past six years, as it's on it's last legs.

I've also purchased the Apple TV 4K (3rd Generation, 128 GB) back in February earlier. I have it to replace my Amazon Fire Stick 4K Max as my main streaming device.

The question that I'm asking is, is it also worth shelling out a lot of money for an iPad when I will already have two apple devices that pretty much does the exact same things that the iPad does (such as watching TV on the big screen, using Airplay, etc.)? Also, will an Apple Pencil also work on the iPhone?

Answers will be appreciated. Thanks!

Only you can decide if an iPad provides additional utility over that of your iPhone.

For many, iPad and iPhone usefully complement each other. While an iPhone benefits from portability, an iPad has a usefully larger screen, which for many Apps, is essential. Depending upon the iPad model, an iPad can be considerably more powerful - and may have significantly more storage space than iPhone.

An AppleTV is not designed (or intended) to replicate functionality of iPad or iPhone. AppleTV is principally a media player/streamer and/or a Games Console. AppleTV also provides Home Hub functionality that is otherwise only provided by Apple’s HomePod products - which may be important to you if you use home-automation.

Apple Pencil can only be used with iPad; no models of iPhone support Apple Pencil - as they all lack the specific screen hardware with which Pencil interacts with the screen.
