I cannot access my previously dowloaded music from iTunes on my iMovie app

Possibly the songs may be in the cloud. That can happen sometimes with updates. To cover the bases, open your iTunes library on the iTunes website. If your songs have a little cloud icon next to them that means that they are not downloaded and therefore not readable by iMovie. Click on them to download. Or you may need to click on the cloud icon. Then iMovie should read them.
