FCP media files in specific library, how to label them as "bad" and not want to delete

I have several media files in FCP library that my boss don't want to use them for now. Maybe later we will use them. I don't want to delete those videos. Is there in FCP library that I can label "red" color to identify them to put on hold for now?

As Tom says, you can mark the clips as Rejected and then they won't show in the browser by default. You can alway un-Reject them later.

Select the clips or portion of the a clip and press the Delete key next to = to reject it.

For an excellent introduction to FCP start with Steve Martin’s 60 minute intro. For a more in depth introduction use the Izzy video tutorials. The version is a bit dated but the principles are the same.
