Apple Music Stations

I recently subscribed to Apple Music and am trying to create stations for my music tastes. I subscribe to Sirius and love The Lumineers station on Sirius/Pandora.

I know that to start a station on Apple Music, you listen to one song and then click on "create station" and then it starts playing songs like that one song...however, it's not even close to the station on Sirius.

I spent the past couple of days writing down the songs on The Lumineers station on Sirius and now have a list of 40ish songs that I love. Is there a way to select these 40 or so songs in Apple Music and tell it to create a station with those songs and songs like it? I just think that having a "base" of 40 songs would make it more possible to have the Apple Station be more like the Sirius/Pandora station then if I just created a station in Apple Music based on 1 song.

Yes, what you have stated is expected behavior when you create a station in Apple Music.

Play Apple Music radio in Music on Mac - Apple Support

Apple Music will learn your "loves" and "dislikes" by marking music as such when you're playing your artist's station:
