I forgot my recovery key

I am trying to sign into my Apple ID and it’s asking for a recovery key. I don’t know it. What do I do?

When you turn recovery key on there's no other way to sign in. If you don't know the recovery key you'll have to create a new Apple ID to use.

If you have another apple device using that same Apple ID and it's password or passcode protected and you are logged into you can reset the recovery key there. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208072#:~:text=On%20your%20Mac,Key%20section%2C%20click%20Turn%20On.

When you first turn on Recovery key, it does warn you that once you turn this on you can't reset your password or sign into any apple devices without it. I would advise double checking to see if maybe you wrote this down somewhere because without it you can't do anything.
