I never signed up for SimplyWise app. How do I dispute the charge and get a refund?

I received an email notification providing me informations about an app I supposedly downloaded to my Iphone last year in August. The app is up for renewal, that's how I found it out. The fact is,

I never purchased nor used the app, and was charged $59.99. The app store doesn't even show a record of this app subscription or purchase. It's so shady. does anyone know how to dispute and request a refund in cases like this

Did you get the email notification from Apple? If yes, is it genuine?

Did you check the list of your purchases?

View your purchase history for the App Store, iTunes Store, and other Apple media services - Apple Support


If you can't find it, did you download it directly from the developer?

In that case you should contact the developer of your app about that, as explained in this article:

My boss sent my a link to simplywise. I downloaded it to see what it was about. I didn’t like it because I couldn’t figure it out. I emailed them as well and then unsubscribed and for some reason it didn’t work because they took over $90 from me. I called immediately and deleted the app and now they are saying it could take 30 days to get my money back. Records would show I used the app once to check it out and now I’m being charged and told I have to wait 30 days on my refund. I will NEVER use an app that charges you to try it out again.
