Cancelling subscription after promo trial

Trying to cancel both an Apple News and an Apple TV subscription that were achieved thru a promo offer (Target circle from what I recall). When I go to manage my subscriptions in the Settings app, I see both there, however, there’s no cancel button for either subscription. Expiration date says August 12th. No cancel button, but the message says “starting august 12, your plan will renew for the regular price of xxxx per month until cancelled.” How can I cancel with an option to cancel? My Netflix subscription, as a comparison point, has a cancel button. Netflix is not thru a promo offer of any kind. Is the wording just kind of confusing, and the promo offers will just expire on the dates indicated, and I won’t get charged anything? Thanks.

Seems you generally need to cancel a free trial subscription at least 24 hours before it expires, if you do not want to be charged for the next month. (NB: Your access stops immediately when you cancel.)

Else:

As you tried to cancel the subscription but you do not have a cancel button

You may be able to cancel from within the apps themselves.

or

You may be able to cancel the subscription by contacting the company that offered the subscription to you.
