restore my desktop from my iCloud account

My desktop was deleted when I took my Mac to the Apple Store in Chiang Mai Thailand. The computer froze up during an update and I had to take it in. Communications were very poor, even using translation services. I now have my computer back and I am trying to restore my desktop. I have followed the online instructions:

#1 - My computer does not match these instructions. The only iCloud is under my "Apple ID", that does not have anything resembling "options". I have searched everywhere with no success.

#2 - I have deselected "Desktop Documents and Folders". I have rebooted, nothing. The system specs are as follows: macOS - Ventura13.4.1.

#3 - I can access my iCloud on the web, but I cannot find a way to restore it to my laptop.

Essentially - I cannot find my desktop to restore.
