Iphone chargers

is it safe to put charger protectors? (the chord swirling thingy and case of the head) or will it just make it worse?

iPhone 13, iOS 16

Ah, I see what you are referring to now. Thanks for providing the images.

My only concern about using something like this is that it may prevent heat from being dissipated when the power adapter is being used. It would appear to be a trade-off between cosmetics/protection vs. original design/operation.

One simple test would be when your iPhone's battery is low. Use the power adapter (as is) to charge it. Sometime during the charging process, feel the adapter to see if it is producing any heat. It should, but it should be minimal. This is what I am referring to that may be impeded by using this "protection" product.

If you still wish to do so, check the vendor and/manufacturer of this product to see what warranty they provide should it end up damaging your power adapter.

Again, whether or not, you want to use it, it is totally up to you. FWIW, I have never used anything like these on any of my power adapters and pretty much never had any issues with them not doing so. I'm just giving you some information so you can make a decision. That's why I offered that you should contact the manufacturer to see what warranty they provide should they cause any damage and what recourse you will have.
