I use image capture to download photos from iPhone to External Hard drive. Then it say done now I can not see any. I tested a second time with a couple photos and after transfer 4 photos I had to get to each individual one and select reveal in finder. Please tell me there is a way to actually do this and Apple is not a waste of money a PC can do without thought or more than 2 clicks of a mouse.

Image Capture can transfer photos directly to a folder, either on your internal drive or an external drive. If you keep the folder open in the Finder, you should not need any sort of "reveal" process other than switching to the Finder (or glancing to the part of the screen that has the Finder window showing that folder).
I did the image capture transfer. It still leaves the photos un-viewable in the folder. And selecting "reveal picture" in one window is not acceptable as it does only 1 photo at a time and not multiples like I need. It is not possible to keep a folder open till end of time to view photos.
Can't keep the folder open forever. Need to close it sometime and unplug the drive or shut down the computer. I need to be able to open the file see the photo I am looking for and not have to go thru some long drawn out process of being forced to use specific Apple App.
You don't have to keep the folder open forever, but you need the drive plugged in and the computer running when you want to look at the pictures. Then use Finder to browse the folder on the external drive and view the photos you copied there. You might find Preview useful in congestion with Finder, but Finder has several views to choose from and might suffice.
I had to get to each individual one and select reveal in finder.
This is a command in the Photos app. Are you using that somehow in this system?
Are you using a managed air referenced library?
