I have a time machine backup that was running on Big Sur. Will I be able to restore from it in the current os?

My current iMac, a mid 2015 running Big Sur, is failing and I'd like to buy a new iMac running the current OS. Will I be able to restore from my Time Machine that was running on Big Sur?

You don’t really restore like before (though they still use that term). You just migrate your data, so the OS version doesn’t matter.

When you setup the new Mac, it will ask if you want to migrate from another Mac or a backup. It will move the entire user account over to the new Mac.
