Nikon slide scanner LS4000 - connect problem to Mac

Older Nikon Scanner has IEEE 1394 cable. I need best way (which adapters?) to connect to 13" MacBook Pro (2020) with USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports.

Ok, since IEEE 1394 covers both FireWire 400 & 800, I wasn't sure what exactly your Nikon scanner required.

Regardless, although I know that there are FireWire 400 to 800 adapters (you can find them via an Internet search; here's one from Amazon), I'm not sure if they will work in combination with the Apple adapter I provided you earlier. At least, Amazon has an excellent return policy should it not. I'm sure there are a number of other vendors who have these, as well.
