When I take the Sim card out of my old phone, do I put it in the new phone that I just received?

I am trading in my old iPhone for a newer model. I transferred everything over using the instructions. I took the Sim card out of my old phone. Do I need to put the Sim card that was in my old phone in my new phone?

Yes, if you are satisfied and want to continue with the same carrier, you can use the SIM card from the ‘old’ iPhone.

That is also handy then you don't have to change anything, you use the same number.

If the SIM format is different, visit or contact your carrier and request a replacement SIM card, normally it is free.
