Does Apple Voice blocked imported songs?

Question; i am curious about downgrading to Apple Voice, but how does it effect the songs and playlists I’ve already imported from CDs? Will i lose the ability to listen to them? Will I have to download every single one of them to be able to listen to them (as opposed to importing them and be able to stream them)?

Hi,

Apple voice is a streaming only service. It only accesses music available from Apple Music servers. See https://www.macworld.com/article/678309/apple-music-voice-plan-vs-apple-music-the-differences.html

Hi,

This is a user to user technical help forum. I am a user just like you.

My understanding is that To get access to music that you own, you need to use the iCloud Music Library to get your music Matched or Uploaded to Apple Servers.

You only get access to the iCloud Music library if you have a subscription to Apple Music. If you don't have full Apple Music subscription, you won't be able to access that music

If you purchased music from iTunes Store and it still available in Apple Music, you will be able to stream from using Apple Voice.

That addresses that you can’t download or create playlists from the Apple Voice library which i knew, but it doesn’t address how Apple Voice interacts with songs you already own. Im primarily curious to know; if it relies so heavily on Siri, will it access songs you owned previously? However, it does say you can’t download stuff from Apple Voice so im thinking every single song would need to actually be downloaded to play the pre-bought content.

Even the article doesn't really address the question. I understand Apple Voice is streaming only and that it cannot be downloaded; but no one has addressed the pre-purchased/imported song dilemma. I have a hard time believing they could not be listened to since they were bought outright. Im assuming they would all need to be downloaded? I’m surprised there’s not one person so far that actually has AV that can answer; or did i put this in the wrong subcategory?
