2 Apple ID's, 2 Clouds. ?Family sharing

We used to have 2 phones on one Apple ID, causing some confusion. Now, with a new phone and its own Apple ID, the new phone is isolated; no shared photos, no blended calendar the main problems. Is there a way for Family Sharing to help with this?

That depends. Each user should have their own Apple ID. Family sharing allows for a shared calendar and also creates a shared album where users can post pictures to the family.

you can also use a common calendar attached to an email address and share photos outside of family sharing too.
