Google tasks

Hello,

I have spent a better part of my day trying to figure this out.

My son (8) has a Samsung tablet with a google account (so a child account). I downloaded the "google tasks" app for him hoping it would help him stay on task getting ready for school and getting chores done when we get home. It works fine on his tablet.

I have an iPhone 14 pro. When I try to add his google login to my task app, it says "Couldn't sign you in" "Something went wrong. Looks like your Google Account can't go here." I can log him in to almost every other google app on my phone (except voice- which makes sense that app can't be used for a child account). I don't understand why I can log him in to the task app on his tablet but not my phone. Please help!! I am going crazy and can't figure out what I am doing wrong?
