I figured it out!!!
I had the same issue.
go to settings click on safari and scroll down To request desktop website
click and turn off “all websites”
and viola. So much happier the issue is gone.

sounds like you are zoomed in. like when you zoom in a photo, the outer parts disappear
similar in Safari, when you use the zoom gesture, the outer parts (in your case the left border) disappears
zoom out, by using two fingers on the screen slowly move together
I tried tapping on the AA next to the browser and disabled “request desktop website” and it works fine on vertical.
Thank you so much, this finally solved it for me! I had downloaded Firefox thinking it was something wrong with Safari, but same thing was happening there. This fixed it for both of them!
I am experiencing the same issue. Apple suggests adjusting our screens zoom settings, however, this is not an adequate solution. My iPad has been on the same settings for years, and all websites have accommodated my previous settings. Now that there has been an update the words remain on the left side of the screen when viewing Safari and their solution is basically “deal with , zoom out”.
This is only happening to me on one website, online-stopwatch.com. I'm on a MacBook Air. I can't find the solutions mentioned. Can someone help?
