Gaming While Music On

Hello,

if I play a game on my phone and listen to music at same time does that make battery drain faster than it would without listening to music?

iPhone 15 battery draining way fast Just upgraded from my iPhone 13 Pro to iPhone 15 Pro because of battery life. My 15 pro is draining just as fast. Like from 100 down to 20 in a few hours. I have turned off all background apps, location, services, and only run one app at a time. And yet when I get in my car, Apple Music comes on automatically to the same place. It was on last time I was in my car. I’m pretty sure that Apple Music is the culprit running in the background even though there’s no way to turn that off. I don’t subscribe to Apple Music anymore, and I’m wondering if that has anything to do with it? All the music I bought over the years is on my phone. Have been to the Genius Bar twice and have been on with Apple service four times on the phone. They say my battery life is fine, although my 13 has been at 85% for 18 consecutive months. How is that even possible? Considering it drained 15% in the first year and a half. Still no resolution. Incredibly frustrated. Any ideas?

Does using USB audio hurt battery health? I have an older vehicle that has Bluetooth but only works for calls, it does not support audio streaming. I am able to use a USB cable and plug into the iPod port and play Apple music. Am I hurting my battery health by doing this though? I just got a new iPhone so I don't want to hurt the battery health unnecessarily. TIA

Faster? Of course. Using something requiring power (listening to music) drains the battery.

Significantly? Almost certainly not.
