I can’t pass the “Welcome to Mail” page

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to complete the setting of a new iPad for my 8yo daughter.

I configured her account on Mail via the Settings but when I open the Mail app there seems to be no connection with the account and I’m always prompted with the Welcome to Mail page as if I still have to configure an account.

I already tried to delete the account and configure again three times but it did not work.

Anyone has an idea of what might be the problem ?

Does it have anything to do with age restrictions ?

I hope not as she might need to use Mail for school as well.

Thanks for your support.

Hello Hippo_Griff,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We want to help so your daughter can use email as expected.

To start, are you following the steps found here to add the email: Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If so, when you go to Settings > Mail > Accounts, does the account show here and does it show logged in successfully? If not, you will want to troubleshoot the account itself. To do that, we recommend logging into the email providers website and try to log in there. If you are unable, you will need to reach out to the email provider for further support.

If everything is set up appropriately, the next step will be to look into the parental control settings on the iPad. You can do that following the steps found here: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Kindest regards.
