How to line break in scribble mode?

What is the shortcut for line break in scribble mode with apple pencil?

Is it some gesture or shape you draw?

Also writing a period is often not correctly detected, I often get a comma or apostrophe instead. Any advice for that?

Apple Pencil: Scribble and punctuation. Why is it extremely difficult to get the scribble function to recognize apostrophes? For example: “la” and “l’a”. Just finding it frustrating to do any word processing with the Pencil if it is so difficult to get punctuation into the text.
