SIM Port - "This number is registered to your Apple ID but is not associated with this phone" issue

Hello

Hoping someone may be able to assist, 9 days ago I ported my mobile number from one carrier to another (iD Mobile > Lyca). The iD SIM was physical but the Lyca is an eSIM if that makes any difference.

The number has ported over successfully (9 days ago), but iMessage and FaceTime are giving the error: "This number is registered to your Apple ID but is not associated with this phone..." and has a countdown of when the number will cease to work for FaceTime and iMessage.

I have tried the following:

  • Removed the new eSIM number and replaced with my original ported number in Settings > Phone > My Number (this is now correct).
  • Turned off iMessage and FaceTime for a period of time and turned it back on
  • Reset Network Settings on my iPhone
  • Signed-in and out of my Apple ID

All articles / guides I have come across follow a sequence of the above steps.

I have tried following them in different orders, but I am still getting the countdown and the above error message.

Can anyone assist?
