Track pad keeps losing connection
new batteries in, changed X2. start up show track pad not connected, hit on/off switch on side seveeral times to finally get it connected. Do track pads go bad? thx

Cables do more so...these mylar cables with with printed circuit traces can be easily damaged as well as the connector.
On an Intel you can — rule out software
