The 2014MBP had some known issues with long term trackpad use, The 2015 MBP was the worst in this regard.
Typically a new cable is all that is required. These connections are easy damaged...
any computer repair shop that works on Mac can diagnosis, estimate a cost and do the repair— if you decide to go forward with this computer.
