Seriously this is so infuriating. I listen to a lot of podcasts.
I listen to music.
when I download a podcast I want to listen to it later when I’m in the mood for a podcast.
When I’m listening to music I don’t want to hear a podcast in the mix. It’s so infuriating when Apple throws a podcast after I’m listening to music.
this has been going on forever.

Setup a new iPhone 13 from an old iPhone 6 and copied everything across.
Podcasts are now all mixed in with music in the music App. Nothing in the Podcast App.
Suggestions from Apple and the Community are to change the "media kind" for the all the podcasts in Get Info/Option/media kind to "podcast".
Unfortunately the ONLY media kind option for the podcasts is "Music".
I find the Apple Music app and Podcast app to be very simple apps mostly designed for purchasing stuff from the Apple Store and playing it.
Loading podcasts and music from other apps has caused me hundreds of hours of problems.
My next try will to move the actual podcast files out of the Music library.
So tedious.
