How to delete messages storage space in iCloud on my mac?

I want to delete all messages stored in iCloud to increase my storage space. How can I do that?

To turn off iCloud Messages on your Mac, see Set up iCloud for Messages on all your devices:



Note: If you want to turn off Messages in iCloud on your Mac, deselect Enable Messages in iCloud. You can choose to disable Messages in iCloud for all your devices, or just your Mac.


Doing this won't manage the storage of your iCloud. If you message from your Mac, it won't store or sync with other devices that might have iCloud for Messages turned off.



If you are trying to manage the amount of space iCloud for Messages is taking in your iCloud storage, follow "Delete texts and attachments in Messages" in Manage your iCloud storage.

    • Note: If you delete one messages, it deletes it from all devices Messages in iCloud is turned on.
