Opening someone’s music playlist

If I open a link I got for an Apple Music playlist will the person who shared the play by link see your Apple ID? Or your name or anything information about you?

Hello Questionsbymee,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

It doesn't notify when the playlist is viewed only if a song is added to the playlist. Here are more details on sharing a playlist:

"How to share a playlist in a message, email, or with AirDrop

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. Open a playlist.
  3. At the top of the playlist, tap More More button.
  4. Tap Share Playlist.

    5. In the share sheet, choose from the following:

  • Tap AirDrop, then choose an Apple device that's nearby. Learn more about AirDrop.
  • Tap Messages, Mail, or third-party messaging app, enter a contact, then tap Send. If you don't see the app that you want to share to, make sure that the app is installed on your iPhone or iPad. Then swipe left across the apps in the share sheet and tap More More button."

Additional details can be found here: How to share an Apple Music playlist on your iPhone or iPad

Hopefully this helps clarify.

Cheers!
