Hi,

Are you using an AirPrint-enabled printer (most of them are listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support)? If so, you should be able to print from an iPhone without having to install an iOS app from the printer manufacturer, provided that the printer and the iPhone are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

In case of difficulties recognising an AirPrint printer (and if all settings are OK), you may want to try the following procedure (in this order, with the waiting times):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the iPhone, and all other computers/devices. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPhone. Finally, power on all other computers/devices

If this does not work (or if the printer is not listed in the About AirPrint article), please post back with the exact printer make and model.
