Thanks leoni.

The name of people in apple photos is incorrect. For example, my son is called ‘daddy’, my sisters name is June but in photos she is ‘Stella’. Etc.

The name in photos is not linked to the name in my contacts. (They are different).

I cannot find where to set/change the name in the photos app.

In what way are the names incorrect? Are they completely wrong or just short names or nicknames?

On your iPhone or iPad: If Photos is shortening the names, change the Settings > Contacts.

There you can specify, if the names should be shown in the order first name, last name or vice versa, and also the format for the short name. Photos will follow the Settings for the Contacts, at least in the most recent system versions.
