troubles with saving Numbers doc

Just purchased new MacBook Pro. My numbers document will not save changes. I started this on 2015 Macbook, created my own template. Did not have this problem with old Macbook

NUMBERS didn't save my work - why? Hi, I updated a Numbers spreadsheet yesterday and hit save before closing it (although I'm pretty sure this step isn't necessary) and when I returned to the spreadsheet 30 minutes later the changes had disappeared. Luckily I hadn't made too many changes on this occasion, but this could be devastating and now I don't trust NUMBERS. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe it was offline and couldn't save to iCloud? Why has this happened & how can I recover my changes (if possible)? I'm using an iMac (late 2015) running Big Sur 11.7 and saving Numbers to iCloud. I have logged in to iCloud and the spreadsheet is also lacking the changes there. Please help.

Auto Save not working in Numbers, Page a Keynote - Sequoia 15.3.2 (24D81) Beginning about 2 weeks ago the auto save function stop working as it previously had. Now I must manually save documents in order to preserve changes. The Apple help still says "The first time you save a spreadsheet, you name it and choose where to save it—on your desktop or in a folder, for example. Thereafter, Numbers automatically saves your spreadsheet as you work." Anyone else notice this problem?

Numbers Why does 'save as' not show up in the File drop down menu? When I go to the Help menu it shows there.

Is your new MBP signed in properly to the same iCloud account?
