macbook air m2 out of the box setup and can't login

Got my new mac yesterday, powered it up and setup started. Got as far as connecting to wifi but then it went right to the login screen. Setup gave me no opportunity to migrate or create a computer user. I've got a lovely login screen but no user to login with.

Not able to login to Macbook air. When password is given in the login screen it takes me to another login screen with the same users, here when giving password it is not taking it. Tried rebooting, and even resetting password from the first screen these did not help. any help is appreciated.

Login option doesn’t show I’ve a MacBook Pro M1 which is updated to the most latest Ventura 13.2 macOS.Upon turning on the system, I don’t get to see the my display pic and login credentials.I’ve to manually key the user name and password to login.I tried creating a new user with admin rights and also turning on/off the automatically login as but still doesn’t help.I’ve not trying backup/restore yet! Has anyone faced this issue or can suggest a workaround?

Thanks for replying. I did a support chat and they got me squared away. Had to boot into options, delete data and reinstall the os.

It seems like that you've bought a used Mac that is not erased correctly

It was not used. I bought it new from the apple store.
