Migration Assistant

Should I disconnect my backup external hard drive before starting migration assistant to new MacBook air m2?

Migration Assistant uses the Time Machine backup drive to transfer data, settings and etc, so no. It has to be attached to the new Mac. Don't use Wi-Fi though; too many problems.


I usually just attached it directly to the new Mac.
