Hi PramodRima,

The following steps address what you're describing specifically, and should provide a solution:

  • "Open with Face ID: Tap the spreadsheet (if you see a message asking if you want to allow Numbers to use Face ID, tap OK), then glance at your device.
  • You can turn Face ID for Numbers off or on at any time. Go to Settings  > Face ID & Passcode > Other Apps, then turn Numbers off or on."

You can find these steps along with other information that may be helpful, here: Password-protect a Numbers spreadsheet on iPad – Apple Support

If you have followed the steps correctly and you still have the issue, there’s no way to recover your password if you forget it. Make sure you choose a password you won’t forget, or write the password down in a safe place.

We also recommend restarting your device and keeping it updated as those steps assure you have cleared out any minor software issues and are running the most current version.
