My email provider Iinet is getting out of email so want to change to my iCloud email. system says no. reading old posts it appears this has been an issue for ages. Unbelievable that a competitors email can be used as my Apple ID and not the iCloud email.

If you want to use an iCloud mailadres as Apple ID, you will have to wait 30 days in order to set it up
