Toggling excel sheet workbook

I've always used

OPTION +(left/right) arrow

to switch workbook tabs. I just tested it on Office 2019 and it still worked in that version.

In almost any Mac app including Office apps

COMMAND ~

toggles through multiple windows open in one app.

I've used spreadsheet programs going all the way back to VisiCalc and now MS Office latest standalone version. Windows then Macs in 2015.

But macOS is just not Windows and it never will be. It may come close in some circumstances, but it's just not Windows.

I suggest you ask in an Excel user forum as this is a Microsoft question, not an Apple one.

Thank you - yes it was there - appreciate seeing finally something which explains why the keystrokes sometime work, sometimes not! Never have understood Mac OS properly!!
