How to stop Excel from opening on multiple windows on my MacBook?

if i open excel and i want it on one window, it for some reason appears very disturbingly on every window, if i for example want to switch between windows and just ha ve excel on one it disturbs me in others

I think that your wording is misleading.

You say "multiple windows", but it looks like what you really mean is "Spaces".


Click and hold the Excel icon in the Dock, and choose Options->Assign To->None.

This way, when you open a document in Excel, its window will only appear in the current Space, and not others.
