My 2015 retina MacBook Pro won’t turn on. When I attach the power supply, no light come out on the MagSafe connector.
I’m not sure where the problem lies but I wanted to test it with a different power supply.
Question before I buy a new power supply - can a MacBook Pro damage a power supply if it has an internal power issue?

I assume by "power supply" you mean the charger since you refer to plugging it in.
It's very unlikely a malfunctioning Mac will damage the charger.

This MacBook had its MagSafe port replaced a few months ago by Apple after suffering from the same issue. Now the issue is back and they expect me to pay another $150 USD (or more) for the same fix. Obviously I said no and wish they would take responsibility for their short lasting repair.
You had a 90 day warranty period on repairs. Did it fail a second time after the 90 days? If so, the repair is again yours to pay. The rep you talked about this just following Apple's established policy.
Yes it happened after the 90 day period. I’m familiar with that policy but at the same time don’t find it reasonable that the same problem occurs in such a short period and Apple think it makes sense for a customer to pay for another fix for the same problem (which is probably an indication that the root cause hasn’t been resolved).
Anyway, I wish Apple would stand behind their reputation as a customer focused company and not act like any other brand (where you pay far less for the product).
Talk to Apple. We are not apple and you have the same influence over Apple as we do.
