Chargers stop working suddenly

I’ve had my phone for a couple of years now and as one would expect, I’ve gotten a couple of extra chargers throughout that time. One thing I’ve noticed is that after a month or so of using the new charger it suddenly stops working. No change in the outlet or the charger head were ever able to make it work.

Surprisingly, the original charger that has been battered up during its time is the only one that has managed to work the entire time I’ve had it. This is like the third or fourth time a new charger has suddenly failed and I’m unsure what is causing it. What could be the issue?

If these "chargers" are all Apple products, then they are very dependable (IMHO), and rarely should go "bad." However, they can still fail over time so it's not impossible.

What is more unlikely, is that you would need to get multiple one over a relatively short amount of time ... if I understood your post correctly ... and, if so, then it would tend to indicate (at least, to me) that the power source that you are plugging them into may be the culprit. However, they may not hold true if you have been using them in different outlets or different locations.
