Apple Watch monthly challenge changed right before end of month

My July 2023 challenge was to walk 1.5mi for 14 days. I had 2 more days to complete this when the challenge changed to achieve perfect Move goal every day the whole month…with only 4 days left in the month. I’d already missed a couple days at the start of the month so earning this award was derailed instantly. Ruined my year’s perfect streak too. I only have one Apple Watch associated with my Apple ID. Has this happened to anyone else?
