Accessing my WSJ account from Apple News

I have a valid account with the Wall Street Journal. When I see links to articles in the Apple News teasers I click on them and then the link that asks if I already have a WSJ subscription. When I click this it says that the subscription is not valid. When I open the WSJ app on the phone I have no issues with the subscription. How can I fix this so I can just use the Apple news shortcut?

I had the same issue and fixed it by going to Settings…Safari and clear all history/cache. Afterwards go to Apple News app again and click the WSJ subscription link and it will open a dialog to enter your WSJ email and password. in my case the WSJ subscription was changed to use another email address and Safari still had the older email stored with the “not current” subscription. It seems the WSJ web page reads any prior cookies and if it finds an email address stored it looks for an active subscription under that email and doesn’t show the dialog box to enter another one.

I did see that article before posting my question. The link in the Apple News that says "Already Subscribed to the Wall Street Journal" never goes anywhere that allows me to enter my WSJ credentials it first opens a pop-up that says "News wants to Use wsj.com to Sign in" with "Continue" and "Cancel" options. When I select "Continue" it just opens a page that says "Subscription Not Current" then underneath it says "Unfortunately, it looks like you don't have a current subscription. Please return to Apple News to subscribe". I have an active WSJ subscription and can access via the WSJ app on the phone a desktop computer browser without issue. I have tried logging out of that ap and logging back in to refresh my WSJ credentials on the iphone, but it makes no difference.
