I was just having the same issue. It wouldn’t work because I had my card turned off. When I turned my card back on and “allowed transactions” it worked perfectly. Hope this helps!

I found this, but the article is old. Newest iPhone in the list is an iPhone 6S. I’d start with talking to the Stride Support team. The article says, only Visa debit card is supported.

Have you talked to the Chime support team? What is the error message you receive when you try to add the card to your Wallet app?
What bank is behind Chime, do you know?
I can’t add my chime debit card to my Apple Pay for some reason I’m not sure why.
