Some purchased songs are saved as movpkg files instead of m4a

I've been trying to sync music to my 3rd gen ipod touch and some wont sync. While poking around in finder to see if I could figure out what was up, I discovered that some songs are in the movpkg format, instead of the m4a format Apple uses for their songs. Is there a reason it does this, and is there a way to force Music to download songs NOT as movies?

Hi,

Lossless music downloaded from Apple Music subscription is in the movpkg format which is protected ALAC format. Purchased tracks are often available in this format.

In settings you can change the download format. Options are high quality (256), lossless or hi-res. If the music was purchased from iTunes Store, change settings to high quality, remove download then re-download.
